Getting ready to leave...

On June 6th, the adult travelers in our group met at the home of Stacy and Allen Minassian to share some social time, go over details of our upcoming trip and to share in the ritual of Havdallah.

 

 Havdallah means separation, and as we acknowledge separating Shabbat from the rest of the week, we also acknowledge that we are creating a separation between this trip and the rest of our lives.  We will build relationships while traveling that will bond us together always, as we will remember the places and sites we will see and experience together. Once we experience Havdallah in Israel, we will forever be linked to our home in the east, and every time we experience Havdallah back home, we will remember our time together in Israel.  As the moments pass, I am more and more excited to share this experience with these dear friends.
